TikTok has a new hack for dogs – a pet grooming hammock.

The viral trick is to place them in a comfortable, hanging wrap, and this can supposedly make it easier to trim your dog’s nails.

The hack originally gained attention thanks to a user named @mochapomwho showed how she easily cuts her dog’s claws by hang them in a small tote bag with leg holes.

It turns out that there are actually gadgets on Amazon dedicated just to this concept. This is the dog grooming hammock.

It almost sounds too good to be true. That’s why In The Know producer Poppy Shen decided to try it out with the help of her little doggie helper Pretzel.

To see how it turned out, watch the video above or keep reading below.

Does Viral Pet Grooming Hammock Really Work?

First of all, it should be noted that this hack only works for dogs of certain sizes. The pretzel weighs 8 pounds, which was big enough to fit in the hammock, but small dogs run the risk of falling through the leg holes. On the other hand, something too big could break the rod you hang them from.

Luckily, though, Pretzel had no problem getting into this thing. To use the dog hammock, Poppy simply dropped Pretzel into the gadget and helped her legs through the holes. Then she hung it on a closet rod and got to work.

Overall, Poppy found it extremely easy to cut Pretzel’s nails this way. She noticed that the puppy was exceptionally calm and the whole process was over within minutes. As crazy as this hack looks, it actually works really well.
